Description
Kia ora, we are Pj (British) and Corben (Kiwi), on an extended travel around the world!
We're excited to experience different cultures and environments, learn new skills and help people on some fun projects. We love meeting new people and experiencing different lifestyles.

We're both eager to help with whatever is needed, and learn more about living in ways outside the norm.
Corben has been working as a builder for the past few years, building passive eco-houses (lime, clay, straw, earth) in New Zealand, so he's especially keen to help with any building projects. He also has lots of experience in tourism, with various tour guide jobs under his belt. Corben has completed advanced first aid training and has spent many hours operating machinery so is able to help with those sorts of jobs.
Pj has been to workaways in Portugal, Greece and Nepal, and spent a year running a workaway on a boat in New Zealand, so knows how the culture works and is excited to contribute further. She worked in conservation for the past couple of years, gaining experience planting and weeding and getting a chainsaw ticket. She also has plenty of experience in customer service.
We are both accustomed to physical outdoor labour, are practical-minded and love arty building projects. We recently built a large wooden art project for a festival and loved it! We both enjoy cooking and recently volunteered at a festival kitchen, spending a few weeks cooking for over 100 people.

PJ and Corben was helpful with our little d.i.y project. They were a good team working together. They helped us making shelves, painting and cleaning in the house.
We couldn't ask for more.

We had an absolutely wonderful week with Teena and Lee! They are excellent hosts and excellent humans. Melaka is a beautiful city, full of history, culture and fantastic food, and their house is right at the heart of it. We had an absolutely MAGICAL week with Monika. We learnt a lot in many ways and found her style of living inspirational! PJ come alone for a week with us. She is nice and good in gardening skills, conservation knowledge sharing and ideas. She also willing to help out our others project. Easy to communicate with her. She help us to collect so many rubbish during the kayaking tour.

We absolutely loved Liam and Anna's workaway in Humpty Doo!

The land they are living on is so beautiful. The accomodation they provided was a very cute standalone bush hut which was bug proof and breezy (not too hot) during the nights. We also had access to their library which had kitchen facilities and plenty of space for chilling, yoga, etc.… read more

PJ & Corben brought their practical skills and eagerness to engage with what's on offer to our two week working bee / retreat. They are thoughtful, diligent, able to problem solve and take the initiative. We got quality work done, had deep discussions and enjoyed a fun time together. I fully recommend them.

Wow! what an unexpectedly heart warming and educational life experience. We are so grateful for the time we spent at Dada's workaway.

Our workaway at Carl's place was great! He had a variety of projects on the go and tailored the tasks he assigned us in order to give us an opportunity to try/learn new skills. We helped rebuild a rocket stove and did some work in the garden.
