Description
I like travelling ,mountaining,canoeing,fishing and work cutting wood for winter,as I used to be a lumberjack in jura as a professional .For now i am retired in thailand because I became a teacher of french working for the french national education system ,but i would to be back to that work of woodcutter,cutting ans splitting wood for winter,by instance,hard work but good.I like ocean and sea ,nature,reading,writing.I am interested by learning new skills and knowledges ,and improving my english.

Teaching french and cutting wood ,big trees,splitting wood for winter.I like cooking too,not only french cooking,taking care home,and various works around home,fences,gardening,etc.

Yves arrived to my finca in early January and stayed for several weeks, during which time he did an enormous amount of hard work. His biggest achievement and contribution was all the firewood he produced -- using the chainsaw to cut up big branches and using the axe to split bigger trunks into usable sizes for the stove. I stayed about three weeks in Sarah's home among hills of Alpujarras with olive trees and almand trees.Sarah is a very active and courageous woman and she is managing the renovation of her home in a fantastic way and very busy too by the problem of water in that dry country of Andalusia,pruning olive trees,and so many other tasks .

Yves stayed with us for two weeks in early January along with another workaway volunteer. He was attracted to our request to help clean up our forest of downed branches to be burned. Not only did he do a clean up he along with Alex split two cords of wood, split enough kindling for a year and then went on to clear out a tangled area of forest that… read more

I started that Workaway the 2nd of January and I finished the 13th : it was exactly what I hoped to do, working in woods on the property of Brenda and Frits, gathering branches, and burning them, splitting wood with a machine, not complicated to use and very safe . I enjoyed working with Doug, very good communication during working hours starting with a friendly breakfast talking many subjects.
