Hi!

I am Peter, a 26 year old from Ireland with a love for connection, community, and animals. I am a seasoned traveller, having visited around 20 countries over the past few years! During this time, I have realised that my reason for travel is about the people and interactions I have. I have seen more Old Towns than I can count, but the memories that stay with me is the random conversations and laughter I share with people - that is what's important to me .

I have a passion for dogs also. Having volunteered in three Dog Shelters / Rehabilitation Centres so far - all of which were brilliant experiences, and ones which I will cherish. Looking after 140 dogs daily in one shelter, to 45 in the next, and carrying out tasks like feeding, walks, medications etc. It truly revitalised my soul!

At my most recent Workaway, the work tended to be more so handyman-type tasks. I spent a lot of time putting up fencing, making repairs, concreting, or chasing a goose to his pen to receive his breakfast! I also looked after the social media side of things for some time and this was also enjoyable for me

The thing that was so special about my Workaway in Valencia (after three visits and 7 months total), was that we all helped each other through any physical or emotional problem we found ourselves in, and I believe there is great strength in that togetherness, that community. It is something which the currently world does not place enough emphasis on I feel.

We also had many group meditations, yoga practices, games nights, all such great memories

I was incredibly lucky to have made some very close friends on my past Workaways, many of whom I have travelled with later, and I can't wait to make more. Learning about other cultures and viewpoints is amazing. I believe there is a great big world out there and I'll be damned if I don't see it!!

I love to help people as well as animals. Making someone laugh is a beautiful thing to do, and I feel I can do that pretty well with my sarcastic and dry sense of humour...

From my travels and daily practice, I now have an intermediate level of Spanish... Fluency is incoming, I promise :)

I have good social skills - like most Irish!
I have skills in dog care, including: feeding, medications, bathing, walking etc.
I am experienced at grass cutting and can assist with general maintenance / handyman type work.

I like staying active in the gym, playing football, board games, pool, and (perhaps more niche, snooker). I also really enjoy yoga and meditation. Staying in the present moment is key!!
