Recovering from a knee injury back home. Not sure when I'll be able to travel again.

Description

After graduating in Communication studies and working as a journalist, communication advisor (mainly for festivals), and Social Cultural Worker (doing creative projects and workshops with and for older and younger (kids) people), I felt my passion for travelling started to grow, and I wanted to see more of the world!

I started travelling in Australia after my first job. I came back to Holland, worked for 4 years as a freelancer doing all kinds of diverse stuff, and decided to travel again. This time to South America. When I came back home, I felt the urge to implement sustainability, not only in my way of living but also in the work I do daily. I started at a sustainability consultancy and worked there as a Marketing & Communications Manager for three years. As the company started to change, I was getting older, and my dreams were getting bigger, I felt it was time for a new adventure again. That's when I decided to invest in my personal development and explore my place in this beautiful world a little bit more. I went to Italy for two months, to follow several programs of The Transmission School (www.thetransmissionschool.org); an international progressive school that, beyond science, spirituality and philosophy, teaches practicable wisdom and provide the tools for an integrated life. It was beyond valuable!
And that was it. I quit my job, hired a Soul Purpose Coach and now planning on creating the life I've always dreamt of, which includes a lot of traveling, exploring and learning.

I love to travel and discover new passions, experiences and cultures. Love meeting new people and their ways. I'm a social, warm and enthusiastic person. Resourceful, positive, easy-going, open-minded and friendly. I'm not averse to working hard (did all kinds of work during my travels in Australia, Asia, and Latin America).

Hobbies: being in nature (obsessed with mountains), hiking, climbing, reading, dancing, running, gardening, making music (playing the piano and sing), writing, Qi Gong, painting, photography, learning new languages and learning about new cultures, and hanging out with friends. I also like a bit of yoga every now and then!

P.S.: I LOVE animals (all of them, except spiders). I grew up with dogs and cats and for me, basically the world would be a very cold and dark place without them. Taking care of animals brings me great pleasure and peace.

Marketing & communications specialist. Experienced in writing, event organization and research and interviewing. Representative. Flexible. Organized and experienced in prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines. Enthusiastic, committed and entrepreneurial. Works great within a team, but also working independently.

- Degree in Social Studies, did a lot of cultural projects for and with people from different ages and backgrounds. Loved it!
- Degree in Marketing, Communications & Media.

In the period when I was studying, I also had a part-time job working as a waitress and during my travels, I cleaned a lot of hotels and hostels as a side job. Worked as a gardener in South America.
