My name is Sammy Cosmo, welcome to my page :)

I am currently between jobs and am seeking to find opportunities to develop skills and share what I'm good at.

Some areas I feel passionate about are cooking (plant-based mainly), languages, animals, living off-grid, and editing videos together.

I was previously an EFL teacher in Vietnam and a nanny in the UK, even though I studied media practice. More recently, I've been a chef at conscious retreats and festivals. I'm keen to meet new people and discover new places, especially places where I feel a sense of belonging and can be witness to kindness and thoughtfulness on a daily basis.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 or so weeks spent with Yesenia: it was my favorite workaway of my 3 months volunteering in Mexico.
Sand under my feet, yoga under the stars, sunset walks on the serene beach.
Plant-watering, sand raking, other odd-jobs.
Good communication, sweet dinners together, very easy-going.
Really recommend.

with Ashley and Oskar I instantly felt at home, which is a big thing after arriving in Mexico for the first time.
Oskar's dad (and brilliant chef) picked me up from the bus station, then made me lunch. his meals would go on to impress me daily as he kindly adapted to me being both veggie and gluten free.

I really felt at home here in Frome, such a gem or a workaway. I was able to feel apart of a fantastic family and also meet some great people during my stay. The odd jobs never felt too much and, moreover, I enjoyed helping. All in all, I can't recommend the Hopkins enough and will look forward to meeting you all again soon 😇 x

Sam was an excellent au pair, like a big brother for our little son, he would come back some and run towards him to get him to play again and again! They played with his trains, draw, went to the park, read books in English and Spanish... We have been very lucky to have him and would not doubt to have him again. In this charming part of Bristol, I found a sweet family to live alongside for around 8 months. I left knowing I was lucky to have found them.
