Hey my name is Nicolas
Im a mostly happy and positive, but always honest person. Im open minded, curious, creative and i think i have a healthy humor. People tell me i seem calm. Even though i can for sure also turn it up.
Im a social person so i enjoy beeing around other people. Im always interested in meeting new people and having conversations. I love cooking, reading, drawing, long walks, watching birds, playing boardgames, aperol spritz, visiting the cinema, theater or a museum. doing sport (tabletennis, badminton, running..) and trying out new things.
I‘m a registered nurse and love my job. The last 3 years i worked in a psychiatric hospital.

Hey i’m Lisa and i’m really excited about my time here in Australia and all the experiences I’m going to make through Workaway.
I’m an open, easy-going and enthusiastic person who enjoys the little things in life, so I’m almost always in a good mood. I love being around people, making new connections, and I'm always open to doing nice things together — whether that’s being active, exploring the area, spending time outside or having deep and meaningful conversations.

I would describe myself as a very responsible, empathetic, and self-reflective person. It’s important to me that both I and the people around me feel comfortable and supported, and I’m usually good at contributing to that. I communicate honestly and respectfully, and I really appreciate when others do the same.

Back home, I live in a rather big city and enjoy the possibility to visit cultural events like the cinema, museums, readings and literary events or political discussions, as I love discovering new perspectives through books, stories and conversations. I also love being outdoors, going for a run or swim or hiking, so I’m really looking forward to spending more time in nature in the coming months!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Nico: I do have some basic craftsman and gardening skills. Also im a solid cook..

Lisa: I really enjoy working outside in the garden and taking care of animals. As an organized person who lives in shared flats for a really ling time now I enjoy keeping spaces clean and cozy for everyone and i’m good with any household tasks.

Both of us love to learn new skills and are usually quick learners open to different tasks and happy to help with anything!

After we finished school at the age of 18, both of us spent a year traveling and working in New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa, where we also met each other. We’ve been really good friends ever since and are now so excited to spend our 10th friendship anniversary in Australia ten years later!
Back then, we mainly did fruit-picking jobs and worked for quite a long time in a hostel, and Nico also worked in a fish & chips shop.
That experience sparked our love for travel, and ever since then it has been our dream to leave home again for a while.
Even though Nico has found real joy and passion in his job as a nurse, and Lisa in her work as part of the sweetest café team in Leipzig, as well as in her political activism, which is an important part of her life.
