Description

Hi! We’re Rocío and Carlos, a Chilean couple who love animals, travelling, cultural exchange, and life outdoors.

Rocío is a psychologist. She is warm, outgoing, attentive, and naturally caring. She enjoys connecting with people, contributing to a positive environment, and helping with tasks involving communication, organization, hospitality, or animal care.

Carlos is an aquaculture engineer, former fishing guide, and experienced farm volunteer. He has worked with domestic and farm animals and has experience with general farm work, including feeding and caring for animals, repairing fences, assisting with planting and harvesting, and helping with everyday maintenance.

Carlos is introverted, easygoing, curious, funny, and a little nerdy, the perfect balance to Rocío’s extroverted personality!

We are responsible, adaptable, and happy to help wherever needed. We work well independently, but we prefer working as a team. We’re not afraid of physical work or getting our hands dirty. We respect each host’s routines, privacy, and way of life, and we always treat the places where we stay with genuine care.

We love learning and discovering different ways of living. We’re both interested in learning more about sustainability, developing new skills, and spending as much time as possible surrounded by nature. We also love long walks and outdoor activities.

We’re currently developing our professional and business projects through flexible, computer-based work. This allows us to organize our schedules and be fully present and committed during our agreed Workaway hours.

We’re sober, responsible, and committed to a healthy lifestyle. In our free time, we enjoy hiking, travelling, playing chess, reading, listening to music, discovering new places, and anything that keeps us connected to nature.

For us, Workaway is an opportunity to learn new skills, experience different ways of life, meet interesting people, and contribute meaningfully to each project. We’re especially interested in farms, animal care, rural living, sustainability, hospitality, and community-based projects, but we’re always open to discovering something new.

Above all, we’re a caring, respectful, and dependable team. We look forward to sharing our skills, learning from our hosts, and becoming a positive part of their home or project.

Together, we have a range of skills that could be useful for different projects, including communication, hospitality, event organization, cooking, animal care, farm work, repairing fences, planting, harvesting, basic maintenance, and other practical outdoor tasks. We’re responsible, adaptable, comfortable with physical work, and happy to get our hands dirty. We work well as a team, learn quickly, and are always willing to help wherever needed.
