Hi!
I'm Maya and currently I live in England where I've just finished my degree in linguistics. To introduce my personality, you can either find me teaching English and Spanish at school (being a responsible teacher) or dancing, hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, spinning fire and hugging trees at a random cacao ceremony.

At the beginning of July (approx 1st- 14th of July), I would like to visit France to learn about French culture and improve my French. I have never been to France so I am really excited!

I love sustainable travelling, movement, meeting new people and spending time with children. I am interested in understanding human beings and different cultures, from which came my passion for alternative education such as Steiner or Montessori schools. I’ve had some amazing experiences through Workaway, from building a house and learning about permaculture in a community in Portugal to teaching English to refugees. This summer, I would like to spend 10-14 days with some lovely people in France who would speak to me in French and teach me about their way of life. I would love to learn more about permaculture, growing food, plants and herbs and taking care of animals. However, I am happy to help with any kind of job that needs to be done! I grew up on a little farm so no hard work is strange to me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Although my field is education, I have helped out with a few outdoor projects from construction to gardening. I am not an expert but I enjoy physical work in fresh air and learning new skills - Dirty hands, clear mind :)

Movement is my passion and form of self-expression, from dance to acrobatics but also yoga and meditation. I have been practising dance and yoga for more than 10 years so I am happy to organize a sunrise yoga class for everyone or put music on and go crazy while cooking dinner.

I come from the Czech Republic and speak several languages so I can offer language exchange in many languages :D
