Hi everyone! 😁

I’m Marie, a passionate traveler looking to explore the world, try new experiences, meet people, and learn as much as I can! My first Workaway experience was incredible, and everyone I met shared beautiful memories with me about this way of traveling. It’s such an amazing way to immerse yourself in the true life of a country and create deep connections with people.

Usually, I work as a pastry chef in restaurants, but since I started traveling, I’ve loved trying new jobs and being helpful wherever I go. I believe that being surrounded by nature is true luxury. I’m a positive person, happy to work hard, and I love anything that involves hands-on work, helping, and sharing with others.

In my free time, I love cooking and sharing good meals, photography, cats, hiking, swimming, being out in nature, traveling in my van, and laughing a lot… just to name a few things!

Currently, I'm living in Canada, finishing my last winter season here. I came on a working holiday visa to work in Charlevoix, a beautiful region with amazing people in Quebec. I've also traveled in my little van Marcel around the Maritimes and Newfoundland for five months, and I spent three months on a road trip across Canada and the USA. Right now, I’m in Whistler, working as a pastry chef in a restaurant.

My next plans for 2025? Saying goodbye to Canada, heading to Central America, taking a motorcycle road trip in the USA, and moving to Valencia, Spain, to start a new chapter.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I was working in restaurant (cook and pastry) since a long time. I started to work during the summer when I'm at school.
I started active life, soon to be independent.

I did also grape harvest, reception at hotel, waitress, housekeeping and during my last Workaway I learn about maintenance skills and I shovel snow.
