Heii! My name is Maria Agger, I'm a 20-year-old from Denmark who loves discovering new places, cultures, ways of living, and meeting new people — so I’m excited to combine all of that here on WorkAway!

I recently graduated from Aarhus Cathedral School and am currently spending a few months working at a Danish-owned hotel in the Austrian Alps, where I guide hiking, climbing, and mountain biking tours. I simply have a great passion for the outdoors and staying active.

In my free time, I enjoy road cycling, gravel biking, yoga, skiing, and snowboarding — activities I’ve done with my family since I was little. I’m also quite creative and love using both my hands and my head, whether I’m planning, solving problems, or getting involved in practical tasks.

People often describe me as positive, outgoing, organized, and hardworking. I really value a good work environment and enjoy being part of a close-knit team where everyone helps each other out. I always do my best to bring good energy and a smile to whatever I’m doing.

I’ve joined WorkAway because I love the idea of combining travel with meaningful experiences. I’m not just looking to see new places — I want to be part of something local, learn from others, and contribute wherever I can. I believe that working side by side with people from different backgrounds is one of the best ways to grow, both personally and culturally. It’s also a great way to build real connections and create memories that go far beyond traditional tourism.

I speak fluent English, can get by in French and German, and while I don’t speak Norwegian, I understand it fairly well. I also have a driver’s license.
