Hi :)
My name is Maria Ruiz. I’m Italian and live in a charming town overlooking Lake Garda, called Salò.

I am a hard worker and try to be as helpful as possible. I am very open-minded and enthusiastic about learning new skills, getting to know different cultures, trying typical dishes, discovering new landscapes... I am curious about everything and appreciate the little things. I love living simply. I also love travelling and have a lot of experience in this area.
For these reasons, I am an easy-going, very adaptable, independent person and I love talking to people.

As for my interests, I attended a language high school and have a good knowledge of languages (English, German and French) and am a native speaker of Italian and Spanish. I can also help if anyone is interested in learning Italian and Spanish! :)

I recently graduated from the University of Granada with a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, with particular interests in ethnobotany and in gastronomic and ecological anthropology.

I love animals and have always been surrounded by them, not only at home but also as a dog sitter, which has given me work experience in this field.

I have just finished a photography course and bought my own camera, as I love spending time in nature and with animals.
I have also taken a theatre course. I am passionate about sports, I have practised many, especially athletics, but I love them all and am used to hard work. I love getting my hands dirty and doing manual work.
I also love cooking with local ingredients and typical Italian and Spanish dishes, always following the Slow Food philosophy. At the moment, I’m also doing academic work focused on foraging and wild food, which I find incredibly fascinating.

Last but not least, I love art, painting, reading, writing and music (I have been playing the piano since I was 5 years old).

I love art and music(I paint and play the piano)
I do athletics (track and field but I love all the sports and often go running, swim ,hike...)
