I love hiking and cycling, and catching up for a pint. I’m on the lookout for the best second hand shops too.

Description

I’m a gardener for work at home and I miss my vege garden too! I have studied environmental science, traditional horticulture, and also permaculture design. I love getting stuck into a garden project, even if it’s just weeding or moving compost. I’m pretty handy with a hedge trimmer too. I’m keen to learn about any plants I don’t know. I also worked as a florist for a while, so I’m very happy Spring is here!

I’m also handy with DIY and renovation. In 2022 I built a tiny house on wheels, so I gained quite a few building skills from that. At our last workaway my partner Will and I installed insulation, plastered, painted, built a bench, and installed some skirting boards. I love a project and working with my hands.

Now Will has gone home to NZ and I've bought a bike, so I am travelling on two wheels for a while, yay! This means I am flexible with my schedule and have my own transportation - but also that I can eat a lot of pastries on my way 😋 It is my favourite way to travel.

In my spare time I love hiking as well, and have a knitting project on the go for quiet evenings.

With my workaway experiences I am happy to work hard, but my favourites are the ones where I can eat with the family and feel included. The cultural exchange is important to me! Although I can also happily entertain myself. I also love if there are cats or dogs around to make friends with.
