Hi, I’m Mara from Germany and I’m 21 years old. I have three siblings and live in the south of Germany in the Black Forest. I finished school 2023 and traveled to Canada for a year where I stayed with different families and got to know what life on a ranch is like. Currently I’m studying equine management in the third semester. Which is why I‘m looking for a place to stay to gain more practical experience in the horse world.
I like being outside in nature and I love working with animals, especially horses and dogs. I like to train them and teach them different tricks. Since I was 10 years old I have been taking riding lessons and spend most of my free time in the barn. I take care of a horse, for example I ride him out, do ground work, clean the stable and feed the horses. I also give riding lessons to young children who want to start riding. Being with animals and being in the outdoors makes me happy.
I love to explore the world and meet new people. I want to learn about their cultures, their way of life and learn different skills from them. Also I did circus sports for a long time, such as unicycling and (aerial) acrobatics. I‘m always eager to learn something new.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I like to work outside and I have experience working with horses. I have worked with several horses, including two young horses with whom I did ground work. Also I have helped in a stable by mucking out the stalls and grooming the horses.
I have worked with my father in the woods with a chainsaw and helped in the garden.
I also have a dog at home that I take care of and I enjoy teaching him different tricks.
I am able to do various household tasks, such as cleaning rooms and tidying up. My cooking skills are pretty basic, but I am able to prepare certain types of food and would like to learn more.
I don't mind working alone and taking responsibility, but I really enjoy working on a team with a lot of people.
I am looking forward to try new things and to learn new skills.
