Hello!

My name's Malcolm, a young fella from Maryland who loves to meet new people, immerse myself in different cultures, and seek out new experiences.

I've traveled in groups as well as done a fair amount of solo travel, and have a bunch of previous volunteer experience, both inside and outside the US. I'm motivated by the opportunities to provide help to others while getting the chance to meet unique and amazing people, experience new cultures, and learn new skills.

I'm easy-going, hardworking, and always have a smile. I look at each new experience as an opportunity to grow myself and make an impact on others. I'd love to help out in any way I can and am excited to get to know you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I started my own landscaping company in 2020 and ran it for about two years during Covid while I was taking online classes, so I have experience working outdoors, gardening, doing simple handyman work, some carpentry, painting, etc. I've also volunteered rebuilding homes in Texas with a disaster relief organization, which gave me more experience working with my hands and various tools/equipment.

My last workaway I spent about a month at a hostel in Nepal, helping with renovations/additions, cleaning, and creating good atmosphere for the guests. It was one of the best and most impactful experiences I've had.

Currently, I'm in between jobs. I worked as an Operations Manager at a distribution center for a little over and year and wasn't finding much fulfillment in it (shocker), and I'll soon be starting a new role as a Field Engineer with a general contracting company. I did learn a ton about leadership and team building in my previous job and got to know many extremely hard working individuals.

I also like to cook! I'm not an expert by any means, but I enjoy cooking for myself and others and am always looking to improve.

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a double major in the business school, and am comfortable working with technology. I spent many summers volunteer teaching at schools or camps for children with special needs

I know what it means to work hard, as I've worked many long days/weeks in my previous jobs, and am eager to provide meaningful help!
