Hey! My name is Maite, I'm a 25 year-old French-Brazilian girl who loves to travel, meeting new people and discovering other cultures and places. I recently graduated in environmental engineering in Toulouse, France, and want to find a summer job for this summer 2023. Ideally, I would like to work in the Balkans or in Italy to learn more about its culture, see the wonders of nature it has to offer and meet new people.

I have traveled a lot in my life and I'm always looking for a new adventure! I'm an enthusiastic and smiling person and I love hanging out with people. My main interests are: dancing, sports (volley, tennis, cycle, swimming, hiking, fitness), reading, cooking (I love to cook dishes from other countries), learning other languages and exploring new places.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have good relational and team work skills as I have worked as a volunteer for some events in Toulouse where I had to deal with many different people; as well as other workaway experiences, mainly in hostels and a yoga retreat. I have been proven to be a good organizer as well.

I have traveled a lot and lived in touristic places (I grew up in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for example), so I have experience dealing with tourists and foreigners. Besides, I was an organizer in my university's association made to welcome foreign students; where I used to help managing events for international students. I also usually take part in language cafes in Toulouse, where I have the opportunity to meet people from all around the world and practice English mainly and some Spanish, German or Russian.

I also have some computer skills (internet, Microsoft, LibreOffice, ...) if that can be useful to you!

I would be very glad to teach you some Portuguese or French and about Brazilian and French culture! I especially love to show foreigners my favourite Brazilian dishes and desserts!

Finally, I am open to learning new things if there's a needed skill that I don't have; and I am excited to be of any help!

I'm excited to see what personal development working away will bring me and how I'll evolve as a human beings, as my previous experiences in workaway have been awesome! Also, if I can learn a little of your local language, cooking and culture that would be a bonus for me :)
