Hi,

My name is Lucian and I am 34 years old.
I work as SW developer on a multinational company. In my spare time, I like to have a mix of sports and chill time. When I mean sport, I refer to climbing(indoor and outdoor), skiing, biking (mainly commuting and touring), hikes. When it comes to chill I prefer to read books( quite diverse: from history to religion, classic novels), watch movies or theatre and at least once per year go for at least two weeks abroad and visit a country(the last visit was to Kyrgystan). Cultural or music festivals in my area are also a nice way to spend time and discover different cultures.
I host cyclists on warmshowers.org/, a good opportunity to "travel" across the globe.
From time to time I like to cook, mainly vegetarian dishes. I got inspired by nord african dishes, Mediterranean and middle east dishes. I like to play with spices, most of the time the mix is good, but a few times was too "experimental":))

I will like to discover new places nut just as a tourist, to stay some time in a place and feel it as a local. Also I will like to discover new receipt, because I consider that the local dishes help us to discover better a place.

In school, I learned French, but because of not practicing in the last years I lost the practice and fluency. I start learning Russian because I travel almost every year in a slavic or former USSR country, where a slavic language is spoken. Will be nice to practice both languages with a native. For my travel to South America I start learning Spanish. It is nice to discover many similarities with Romanian language.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Back home my parents have a garden, so I am quite handy when it comes to working on a garden. When I was a kid we used to have also animals, now we have just some chickens and a few pigs.
I am a member of the Romanian Alpine Club where I help on different camps, from climbing to skiing. I like the feeling when you share your knowledge with a colleague and he became after a few camps autonomous and understand the physics behind the process.
Recently I finish the mountain guide school, equivalent to the small and medium-sized mountain certification from western Europe. I didn't start to "make money" from this, but that is the plan for the future.
As a member of the Mountain Rescue team( Salvamont Cluj), I helped with different activities including trail maintenance, camps for young people and helping people get injured when they do outdoor activities(ski or rock climbing).
