Hello :)
my name is Luca. Ever since my early childhood I have always had two major passions: horses and visual arts. After the accomplishement of my school carreer in June 2022 I took a year off in order to work with my favourite animals whilst creating my application for art academies during my freetime. I was hoping to get inspiration by travelling and by getting to know new people and places. Since summer 2024, I study art in Paris. As I am missing the connection with nature, I plan to quit the city the summer of 2025 to work and travel once again. Can´t wait for new experiences and connections!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Horse riding skills:
My horse riding journey started when I was six. From that time onwards I consistently stuck to that hobby and mainly took dressage riding lessons once a week. At the age of twelve, I also got the opportunity to some riding participations, an experience from which I benefited a lot: I learned how to use my body language as a means to communicate better with horses and I learned how to stay calm in critical situations. I also learned how to hose a horse and how to do every other little tasks that comes up.
Lately, since April 2020, I´ve been primary working with a now six year old andalusian yearling. As he had ten previous owners at his young age, he can be very anxious and stressed in new situations. Currently, I am assisting his owner on breaking him. During this process we focus on a gentle handling of the horse and we take things slowly and step by step.
My main task in the braking in process is, on the one hand, to go on walks with the young horse in order to get him used to everyday situations. On the other hand, I sit on him, aiming to get him accustomed to the rider´s commands.
During my year abroad, I am looking forward to gain more experience and to improve my skills with horses at ground level as well as in the saddle.
Other skills:
I enjoy cooking and beeing physically active. I like children and I have experience with dogs and other animals. After my geap year I will be applying to art school, so painting and drawing are one of my greatest skills I'd say. I am also a very patient person, who's always open for a good conversation.
