Description

I’m a young American teacher looking to explore different cultures and ways of living! As a workawayer, I’m seeking opportunities to live and work for a family.

Two words that describe me are: curious and creative. I grew up in a rural area of the Midwest where I gained a strong appreciation for spending time outside! Now, as an adult, living an active lifestyle is important to me. Whether I’m camping with friends, biking on local trails, or swimming in lakes, you don’t often find my indoors. Other passions of mine are: literacy, photography, and cooking/baking.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My formal training is related to youth education. My bachelors degree is in Elementary Education and I previously taught second grade in a public school. Additionally, I work in administration/leadership for my university’s summer camp programs. I teach rock climbing and supervise staff for a variety of education and recreation-based summer programs.

I love to garden and previously worked on a sustainable vegetable farm. I enjoy weeding, planting, and harvesting my family’s gardens and cooking with the fresh ingredients.

I’m generally strong and handy. Although I do not have any formal training in building, I would be happy to learn and grow in this area. Whether it’s painting, organizing, or demolishing, I’m up for anything and not afraid to get dirty.
