Description

We are two girls (19&20 years old) from Luxembourg. Our names are Lisa and Célie, we finished school a few months ago and are travelling since the 23 of September 2023. We are looking forward to explore a bit of the world, meeting new people and get to know different cultures and lifestyles.

So far we have worked on a flower farm in Zimbabwe. We lived on a Thai island for a few weeks, where we helped to keep the beach and bungalows clean in a small hotel. We also lived with a family in Melbourne for just over a month, where we helped with house, garden and minor renovation work, cooked and looked after the children.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Having grown up and gone to school in Luxembourg, we can speak fluent Luxembourgish, German, English and French. The school we went to also allowed us to pursue one of our hobbies, which is writing stories, especially short stories. This year, with some help from our teacher in the writing workshop, we even printed our own little book with our stories. Besides school, we both take riding lessons, Lisa also has her own horse (Iceland horse) and has a basic pass badge as well as the bronze riding badge. We can therefore both ride and are used to dealing with animals, as we also grew up with cats and dogs at home. We also both grew up with siblings and have a very close relationship with them, so we are used to living with many, helping each other and being considerate of the others. We also both learned to cook and bake at home.
Celie is also a scout leader, and as a result she has done several training courses in the field of animation. Through her work there, she has learned how to plan activities, how to deal with children of different ages and what it means to take responsibility for them. She has also done 2 internships in a day care centre. To earn some money on the side, Lisa has been babysitting for a few years and has gained experience with children of different ages. Meanwhile, Celie sometimes works in the cloakroom or behind the bar of a theatre on weekends. Both of us have also worked in the field of horticulture during the summer holidays and therefore know the basic tasks that arise in the garden.
Besides, we both have driving licences and can drive both manual and automatic cars. Lisa is also in the process of getting her trailer licence.
