I like being around people, so would like to work in hostels to talk with all kinds of people, I am interesting in learning new things as gardening and how to take care of farm animals…
Description
My name is Helena, I'm 34years old, I would say I have a explorer soul. I am self-motivated, good in managing tasks and I would say i am better with detailed tasks, such as painting, gardening and hospitality than the strengh ones as farming and such. ..
I did a sabbatical year for 1 year and 4 months Around America, Oceania, southeast asia and europe from 2023 to 2024. Had a bunch of adventures and it was amazing! Workaway was one of the best parts of it! Cause i really like the interaction and community sense it creates!
I taugh english to kids in indonesia, Helped in Guesthouses and hostels in australia/malaysia and italy and helped to organize a film festival in east timor. Discovering these different worlds is my favorite thing!
Then I came Back home to work and now i decided it was time to travel again! Not as long as the sabbatical, but i can’t live without my adventures anymore, I could say i am an adrenaline adicted looking for some zen energy in nature.
So I still wanna see the world and share the experience with the workaway comunity makes it better :)

I stayed with Mike for 3 weeks and it was very nice!!! Mike is a very easy going and calm host. His house is not finished yet, but I felt at home very fast! The jobs can be a bit tough, but he usually try to match the jobs you like to do so you'll be happy doing... and they can vary from cleaning windowns to filling a hole with gravel or planting… read more

Helena was a real pleasure to have working for us. She fit in very easily to our quirky little place and had no issue making friends with the other staff. We have a small team, and they generally manage the jobs themselves which can be challenging sometimes but we never had any complaints from Helena, she did all jobs with ease.

Helena was volunteering with me for 3 weeks and it was an amazing time! She was on time, observed the house rules and helped a lot with guests! she participated of the hostels activities and proposed new ones!
She was always smiling and being helpful with guests! Was a great volunteer!

It was my first experience in workaway And I think it couldn't be better! Be a staff here was so fantastic that I couldn't imagine! Everyone in the Hostel were so Nice And friendly! They made me feel as part of the family! And my 2 weeks there were an amazing experience that I will never forget!!
