Description
Hi my name is Kendal! I’m from Southern California in the United States. At some point in my life I had a realization of how important it was to me to see the diversity of the world and began to seek out travelling to other countries. I love the beach and ocean, swimming anywhere and everywhere, adventure, and exploring new places, meeting new people and getting to have friends all over the world. I've been to 24 different countries and volunteered 14 different times (after working countless hours in the states and saving for my travels) I and hope to keep continuing my travels around this beautiful world.

We’ve done lots of workaways throughout latin america together including hostels, bed and breakfast, cafe, teaching english, and farmwork.
We have done tasks like reception, cleaning, gardening, fixing up places, farming, and teaching english. We also have work experience from the united states of working in a highly busy restaurant, busy fast food, and a large scale store.
(Kendal) I also have an additional 5 months experience in hostels in Vietnam and Cambodia with tasks like selling tours, bartending, city tours, pub crawls, etc

My time with Sharom was great. Sharom is an amazing host. He took us to some of the best local food I’ve had in Malaysia and some of my favorite dishes of the world. It is one of the best hidden gems you will find in Malaysia. Cik Lah and Kak Muni are some of the best hosts I have had the honor of volunteering for. Having Kendal was amazing! The Hostel is located in a natural zone and they adapted easily to the harsh enviroment, they even got used to mosquitos. My stay at the hostel was amazing. The vibe around the river is so nice, Emilio is a great host and treated us very well, the work we did was some painting, sanding and staining, and helping clear the lake for paddleboarding. Kendal and her friend (Sarah) were really good at speaking to the students in out English Institute in Cuenca. They have good skill at talking to people. In apartment they were pretty tidy and we didn't have problems at sharing space.

Cuenca, the school, and all the people are great. The staff is friendly and the students of all different levels are great to talk to. Cuenca is a beautiful city to explore in your freetime. Diego is a great host and the house is cozy and has a great kitchen and patio. I had a wonderful time at this school and with all the people!

It was amazing. We had a great time, the hostel is friendly, spacious, and clean. The people are nice, the owner is a great friendly guy and the work is fair. We even got to take free salsa lessons, it was all great!
