Description
Hi my name is Kendal! I’m from Southern California in the United States. At some point in my life I had a realization of how important it was to me to see the diversity of the world and began to seek out travelling to other countries. I love the beach and ocean, swimming anywhere and everywhere, adventure, and exploring new places, meeting new people and getting to have friends all over the world. I've been to 25 different countries and volunteered 14 different times in central/south america and southeast asia (after working countless hours in the states and saving for my travels) and hope to keep continuing my travels around this beautiful world.

I have had the pleasure of working at many different hostels, restaurants, bars, farms, schools, and more all around the world. I have done tasks like reception, cleaning, gardening, being a waitress, bartending, leading city tours, pub crawls, fixing up places, farming, teaching english for kids and adults of all levels, and more. I also have work experience from the united states and a year of working in New Zealand of working in busy restaurants, busy fast food, a petrol station, a hostel, and a large scale store.

From the moment Kendal and Zara joined our team, they demonstrated a remarkable work ethic and an eagerness to exceed expectations. Their responsibilities ranged from maintaining the cleanliness of the premises to ensuring that guests felt welcome and attended to throughout their stay.

First and foremost, Kendal and Zara tackled housekeeping duties with unparalleled efficiency. The cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms were consistently impeccable under their care. They approached each task with meticulous attention to detail, leaving no corner untouched. From preparing beds to refreshing amenities, they ensured that every guest felt as though they were entering a haven of comfort and serenity.

Moreover, Kendal and Zara exhibited exceptional interpersonal skills in their interactions with guests. They went above and beyond to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, greeting arrivals with genuine smiles and engaging in friendly conversations. Their personable nature fostered a sense of community within the establishment, making guests feel like valued members of our extended family.

In addition to their exemplary service within the hostel, Kendal and Zara also took charge of maintaining the guest house's pool area. Their diligence in keeping the pool clean and well-maintained contributed significantly to the overall guest experience. Whether it was skimming debris from the water's surface or ensuring that poolside amenities were fully stocked, they approached their responsibilities with dedication and a keen eye for detail.

My stay at the hostel was amazing. Kendal and her friend (Sarah) were really good at speaking to the students in out English Institute in Cuenca. They have good skill at talking to people. In apartment they were pretty tidy and we didn't have problems at sharing space.

Cuenca, the school, and all the people are great. The staff is friendly and the students of all different levels are great to talk to. Cuenca is a beautiful city to explore in your freetime. Diego is a great host and the house is cozy and has a great kitchen and patio. I had a wonderful time at this school and with all the people!

It was amazing. We had a great time, the hostel is friendly, spacious, and clean. The people are nice, the owner is a great friendly guy and the work is fair. We even got to take free salsa lessons, it was all great!
