Description

Hi! My name is Kit and I hail from the SF Bay Area in California. I'm very outdoorsy, I love exploring, learning new things and meeting different kinds of people. Some of my hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, gardening, writing, reading, swimming, and playing guitar. I'm a pretty extroverted person and enjoy being in a party setting, but also greatly value my own down time.

A recent job I had was in landscaping and construction, where I was on my feet for up to 12 hours a day working in the hot sun. Throughout high school I took up a few different volunteering gigs, such as gardening at a nursery, helping at a food bank, assisting in theater productions with kids my own age and younger, as well as working a few basic service industry jobs such as working a cash register and cooking food.

During my junior year of high school I had the opportunity to join the TEAM program, which is a year long program of backpacking trips, interning, ropes course leadership, and other experiential learning. It was hands down the best year of school. Twenty four kids including myself and two adult mentors backpacked around California. I learned valuable information about CPR and wilderness medicine, as well as how to work and collaborate with other people as part of a team.

I have some good experience with construction/landscaping, building things (I love working with my hands), making food (love cooking), gardening, writing, I'm savvy with computers, enjoy working with animals and pretty good with kids. I have a creative mind , I like making art and designing/working on different projects.
