Hello :-) I’m Kaylee, I am 20 years old and from Colorado, majoring in Film and Television Production in North Carolina for the next couple years— but I get antsy and like to move around. The summer of 2023 I spent living in Virginia working as a barista in the mountains— and the spring of 2024 I studied abroad in England. After England I spent the summer in Greece, Italy and France. If I have any free time, I try to use it in travel.

I love photography, yoga, reading (anything written before 1985), writing, hiking, drawing, whittling, running so on. I always carry a camera on me, and absolutely adore capturing the details of life, as well as editing. I also directed a short film, which you can find on my youtube!

I’m respectful, normally asleep at 10/11, up at 7/8, eager to learn new tasks, clean and adaptive. Trying to make the most of cheap travel while I’m young and untied to any apartments, jobs, so forth. I want to explore and grow with my experiences!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During high school, the majority of my jobs took place in food service. I’ve worked at a pizza shop, sandwich shop, coffee shop, meal-prep kitchen, where I’ve been a dishwasher, cashier, barista, on the food line, host, and busser.
I’ve also worked at an antique shop at the front desk as a cashier, as well as attendant in opening cases and assisting customers. For college, I became part of the “Tech Crew” of my university, which means I help set up for events, as well as run them.
The summer of 2023, my boyfriend and I took seasonal jobs at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, where I worked as a barista, host, busser, and cashier in the gift shop!
My second year of college I acquired work as a camera operator for the sports games for ESPN (super fun, loved every minute of it).

I left all my jobs on a good note, my only reason for switching most often being better pay/opportunities, or for convenience’s sake.

This is my first time doing workaway, but I’ve taken seasonal work in different states before, so I’m used to moving around! I also am on trustedhousesitters.com, where I’ve house/pet sat for about three people now, mostly in the UK and once in Holland. I loved it :-)
