I enjoy anything nature related and love music and dancing. I'm also very interested in teaching English and learning other languages. I work professionally as a teacher so love kids too!

Description

For about ten years I lived as a nomadic outdoor/environmental educator and often spent my breaks in between seasons volunteering and travelling abroad. Workaway has connected me to some wonderful people and places. It's the only way I travel now! I recently earned my Masters in Education degree and am an elementary school teacher. I have also worked professionally as an English teacher (as a foreign language) and a therapist for autistic kids and teens. Plus, I've got my Permaculture Design Certification and have volunteered on sustainable farms all around the world.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Teaching, youth development, experience with permaculture, professional background in teaching English as a second language, basic trail maintenance, basic computer skills. I got my PDC in December of 2015 in Thailand and am primarily looking to build upon these skills. I am also excited about a language exchange. I have also taken part in an earthbag building workshop as part of a rebuilding project in Nepal. My profession is in outdoor education, so I have lots to give in terms of teaching, working with kids and outdoor recreation type skills.

I like playing old fashion card games and board games. I also read Tarot. I love listening to and dancing to different kinds of music, but don't play an instrument myself. I'm always up for excursions and explorations. When I work, I word hard!
