Hey! 👋
My name is Julia, I’m 25 years old and I work as a social worker. I love traveling and getting to know new cultures and people. For me, Workaway is a great way to combine traveling with meaningful work and cultural exchange.

I’m open-minded, reliable and enjoy working with people, but I’m also happy to help with practical tasks such as household chores, gardening or organizational support. I’m also very interested in the food culture of other countries and I’m passionate about cooking myself.

I speak German fluently, have very good English skills, and I’m currently refreshing my Spanish. Respect, openness and cultural exchange are very important to me.

Community & social support:
Experience in community work, daily support, organization and helping where needed. Comfortable working independently as well as in a team.

Household & practical tasks:
During my school years, I worked as a cleaner for several years. So I'm happy to help with cleaning, organizing, basic gardening and general daily tasks. Quick learner and hands-on attitude.

Cooking & food culture:
Passionate vegetarian home cook with a strong interest in local food cultures. Enjoy cooking for and with others and learning new recipes.

Languages:
German (native), English (very good), Spanish (basic / improving).

As a social worker, I worked with young people, consult them and planning and implementing leisure activities. I also worked with homeless women for several years, supporting them in various areas.
I come from a family of craftsmen and learned basic craft skills at an early age.

I love card games and enjoy learning new ones. I also enjoy hiking, cooking, and engaging with political and social issues.
