Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Julia , I am 24 years old and I am from Germany.
I studied Social Work and Pedagogy and I work now as a full-time social worker in an advice center for homeless men.
I am a kind, ambitious and open-minded person who is interested in the environment, social projects and languages. I have always loved exploring different places, talking to the locals in their language and learning how other people live their dream lives.
My first Workaway experience in a family to take care of the kids was amazing and it helped me a lot with my self-confidence.

Hola, encantada de conocerte! Me llamo Julia, tengo 24 años y soy de Alemania.
Estudié Trabajo Social y ahora trabajo como trabajadora social a tiempo completo en un centro de apoyo para hombres sin hogar.
Soy una persona amable, ambiciosa y de mente abierta, interesada en el medio ambiente, los proyectos sociales y los idiomas. Siempre me ha encantado explorar diferentes lugares, hablar con la gente local en su idioma y aprender cómo otras personas viven la vida de sus sueños.
Mi primera experiencia con Workaway en una familia para ayudar con los nenes fue increíble y me ayudó mucho a ganar confianza en mí misma.

English: I have a C1 certificate in English, gave already English tutoring in a school in Germany and my Social Work Studies were mainly in English. Spanish: Tengo un certificado B2 en español y me gustaría poder hablar español con fluidez. Mi sueño es vivir en el sur de España en el futuro :) At work, I speak with many clients in English and Spanish. En el trabajo, hablo con muchos clientes en inglés y español.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During my studies, I worked with children with disabilities for four years as a part-time job. In addition, l already gave English tutoring for younger kids in school and math tutoring for apprentices in a company.
I often looked after my neighbors' children and going to the playground with them.
Now I work full-time with homeless people where I help them with diverse bureaucratic matters and to find a place to sleep.
I have been always interested in helping other people and learning new things.
In my free time, I love reading, riding my bike in nature, taking care of my plants and yes, I enjoy cleaning my apartment :) Currently, I am really interested in gardening and off-grid living, reading books about it and watching videos of inspired people.

Durante mis estudios, trabajé con niños con discapacidad durante cuatro años a tiempo parcial. Además, ya daba clases particulares de inglés a niños pequeños en el colegio y de matemáticas a aprendices en una empresa.
A menudo cuidaba a los hijos de mis vecinos e iba al parque con ellos.
Ahora trabajo a tiempo completo con personas sin hogar, ayudándoles con diversos trámites burocráticos y a encontrar alojamiento.
Siempre me ha interesado ayudar a los demás y aprender cosas nuevas. En mi tiempo libre, me encanta leer, montar en bicicleta por la naturaleza, cuidar mis plantas y, sí, disfruto limpiando mi apartamento :) Actualmente, me interesa mucho la jardinería y la vida sin conexión a la red, leer libros sobre el tema y ver vídeos de personas inspiradoras.

My motto in life is to collect moments, not things.
Material things aren't valuable. But beautiful moments in nature, where I can feel the sun on my face, seeing new places and having pleasant conversations, this is what I want for my life.

Mi lema en la vida es coleccionar momentos, no cosas. Las cosas materiales no tienen valor. Pero momentos hermosos en la naturaleza, donde puedo sentir el sol en la cara, conocer nuevos lugares y tener conversaciones agradables, eso es lo que quiero para mi vida.
