Hi! Im Johanne, and I'm 24 years old.

I am fluent in English and Danish, and beginner in French and Dutch.

In 2019 I graduated high school, with a specification in English, Biology and Psychology.

Since then, I’ve moved out and generally been learning about adult life in my gap-years and primarily I've been working different jobs such as, childcare, costumer service, selling strawberries and cleaning. But i have especially worked with childcare and cleaning, by working in forest-kindergartens for several years. 🌲

This summer 2023 I moved from Copenhagen to Aarhus. I craved a little more nature and quietness. In connection to that I started studying Multimediadesign, but I quickly found out it wasn't for me, I fit better in a kitchen 😃. Therefore I am planning on applying for nutrition and health school in 2024.

For now I am working as a private house cleaner and I volunteer at a holistic space called Heartspace. Here I also spend a lot of my free time, as I often go there to do yoga, free-dancing, shaking of the body, thursdaycafe with my friends, kirtan and much more.

What do else do I do? After being a picky eater as a child, I learned how to cook in a mandatory class in school when I was a teenager. This started a fire in me and since then, I have had a big passion for researching diets, nutrition and health and you can almost always find me in the kitchen. I primarily eat vegetarian and I hope one day to be 100% plant based. 🌱

Creative hobbies are something I like to immerse myself in sometimes, and then forget about it for the next 6 months. Therefore I am the owner of various crystals, tarot cards, watercolor paint, jewelry beads, knitting attire etc. I also did beginner horseback riding, since it was a childhood dream. When I have the time and desire (and I dare), I also like to edit videos and put them on YouTube, mostly for my friends to see.
Currently I am taking two online courses, one in Breathwork and one in Holistic Nutrition.🍝

As a person I am open-minded, polite and humorous. It's important to me to do my job well, and I am very proactive. It is in my values to be polite to everyone, and to respect and nurture nature as well as ourselves. I believe we all have a complicated story and that we cannot judge the book by its cover.

One day I dream of living a sustainable, minimalistic and slow life close to nature. I would also love to be financially independent and make time for what really matters to me. For me it's the small things in everyday life that ends up meaning the most. I don't mind owning a lot of materialistic things, I would rather spend precious time with the people I love and gain wisdom from different experiences.


I have Workaway experience from 3 prior workaway stays:

1. August 2022 my friend and I volunteered at a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in a city called Upie, Southern of France for 3 weeks. Here I learned how to iron bedding, clean B&B-rooms and basic housekeeping and gardening.

2. December 2022 I was a solo volunteer in Zell Am See, Austria for 2,5 weeks with a private family. Here I gained experience in dog sitting and housecleaning, as this was my primary work.

3. July 2023 my friend and I volunteered with a private family in Benfeita, Portugal. Here I painted a yogastudio and a bedroom, basic housekeeping and garden work.
