My name is Jessie and I am from the USA but now I am living in Barcelona, Spain. I have been here since 2006 when I came here to study abroad. I am 35 years old and this year (2022) I will be finishing a degree in Spanish Philology at the University of Barcelona.

I am always interested in trying new things and learning about new things. I have a very open mind and I am interested in learning about new cultures and points of view. I have participated in many language and cultural exchanges in the past and I look forward to continue doing the same in the future.

I am also an English teacher. I have been teaching English for 10 years here in Barcelona even though I have done other jobs in the past. I have some experience with summer camps with kids, a children museums, restaurants, etc.

In my free time I like to read, listen to music, go to the cinema or to watch series/movies at home and to do creative things. For example I like to knit and crochet when I have free time. I like both the city as well as the country/rural areas. I think both have their positive points.

I am not a vegetarian or vegan and I do not have any food allergies or restrictions. I do not mind adapting to other diets and following them. I also really enjoy learning about typical dishes from everywhere else in the world.

I am a native English speaker and an English teacher. I have 10 years of experience. I am also fluent in Spanish. I will be finishing my Spanish philology degree this year (2022). I also speak an intermediate level of Catalan because I live in Barcelona. In my free time I am also learning some Japanese but I do not have a very good level of it yet. I am open to learning almost any other language and I like to share my language and culture with others.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

One of my skills is teaching English. I love to learn other languages and I have been teaching English for 10 years. I am also fluent in Spanish and I have an intermediate level of Catalan. I am also in the beginning stages of learning Japanese as well so one big thing I have is languages.

Other than that I do not mind getting my hands dirty and working on any project. I do not have any problems learning skills that I do not have. Around my apartment in Barcelona I have solved some small diy projects but not anything on a big scale but I would love to learn new skills. Especially things like tiling/mosaics, woodworking, gardening/plants (I have helped out a bit around my mother or grandmother's house but when I was younger) or anything else.

I really try to have a very upbeat attitude and I think that everyone can learn something from everyone else if you are willing to try.
