I have taught English both in Spain and to immigrants in the UK. I have a qualification in TEFL and an 'A' level in English. I have a degree in French and a Masters in Spanish translation.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are both keen gardeners and have shared an allotment together. We also practise yoga and enjoy walking and camping. We have both travelled extensively in different parts of the world, but would really like to learn more about the people and places we visit rather than just travelling through!

I am a former language teacher, my languages are French, Spanish and German, but I have also taught English. I am a keen birdwatcher and am a volunteer with the RSPB. I also volunteer reading and recording our local newspaper for the visually impaired. I have a grown up son who is currently travelling in Thailand and a very old dog!

I have travelled to Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala and Peru, where I worked as a volunteer in the Amazon on a conservation project. I have travelled extensively in Morocco, where my first husband was from, as well as most of Europe. I have lived in France and Spain, where I still have friends. I am currently translating a novel for a Spanish friend. Last summer my husband, son and I travelled in Australia in a campervan.

My friend has two grown up children and works part time in local government. She also works for the Lake District National Park tourist information centre, advising visitors on local walks and attractions as well as educating them about the national park. She is a skilled baker and a good cook and grows lots of fruit and vegetables on a very small garden plot. She has travelled extensively in India, Nepal and SE Asia (back in the 1980s) and more recently trekked in Morocco! Absolutely loves the outdoors, enjoying fell walking, cycling and wild swimming. Also enjoys homemaking and playing the piano.
