Description

Hello, we are Iwona and Adrian, a married couple from the UK. We've decided to embrace our passion for travel and new experiences and start our Workaway journey.
We have been together for 17 years and married for 8 years and have a combined love of travel and adventure. We are a mature couple, Iwona is 40 (originally from Poland) and Adrian is 51 (from England). We have our own little house back in the UK, so we are responsible, respectful, clean and tidy but also like to have fun.

We have already visited many amazing places around the world but sadly have always had to return to our 9-5 jobs. But no more, we are ready to embrace more of what excites us, meeting and learning about new cultures and different ways of life, meeting new and interesting people who we can learn from but also help along the way.
We are very keen trekkers/hikers having summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. We've also trekked in Patagonia and Alaska, Vietnam, China and have also travelled through Ethiopia where we hiked up an active volcano, slept in the desert under the stars and visited the hottest place on Earth.

I used to be a housekeeper/cleaner, and then an accountant for many years and currently I'm working remotely supporting small businesses with various finance/admit/website/social media tasks. Adrian was working in printing industry and it's very practical, hands-on man with lots of patience and precision.
We are also open to house and pet sitting opportunities and we gained our experiences in the UK, Argentina, US, Australia and New Zealand.

As I'm working remotely (online) few hours a week I would need a decent WiFi/internet access.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Our experience and skills we can offer:
- Adrian has a background in production and manufacturing and is good at problem solving.
- Adrian is practically minded and keen to learn new skills.
- Iwona has a many years of experience in finance and is currently running her own digital business as a executive virtual assistant - therefore good, reliable internet/WIFI access is a must.
- Iwona was also volunteering her services for an environmentally sustainable charity, redesigning and managing their website, social media and help them be organized.
- We are very productive following instruction and to do lists.
- We have experience house and pet sitting.
- We have experience working in the garden (re-planting, trimming, weed guarding, mulching, preparing plants for winter).
- We have basic skills of DIY, maintenance and gardening.
- We have good housekeeping skills and we like to cook.
- We are conscious of the environment and the world we live in.

Autres infos...

We spent few months looking after Iwona's parents back in Poland end of 2021 and then we started our dream travels in January 2022. Since then we travelled through South America, part of Central America and North America, also in 2023 we house sit, workaway'ed and wwoof'ed 5 month in New Zealand, after we house sit in Australia, then travelled through South Korea, Japan and South East Asia.
Currently we are moving a lot between Poland and the UK.
