Hey :) I'm Indie a 33 year old from Lithuania with an interest in organic farming, sustainable lifestyles, animals, kids, and a strong desire to learn new skills. I've been travelling on and off for almost 10 years, settling here and there around Europe, Turkey, Georgia, travelling around Central Asia, Siberia and US. I love long term travel, so i mostly hitchhike, sleep in a tent or try to stay with friends, friends of friends, local people i meet or couchsurfers.

I have a bachelor's degree in teaching English as a foreign language, and i love teaching. I like being around kids of all ages and usually kids like being around me.

I grew up on a very small farm where we kept rabbits, chickens and grew most of our own food. For the first 10 years of my life we had an outside toilet, no hot water, and heated the place with a wood burner, so i'm perfectly satisfied with conditions that might seem very uncomfortable for others. i'm very happy to be around animals and dig in the garden.

I'm very interested in self-sustainable lifestyles, my family has a straw/clay house where i practiced non-invasive gardening, picked herbs and foraged. I'm very eager to learn more about the nature of the places I travel to, about herbs growing there and how they can be used.

During my studies in Lithuania i worked with a few NGO's focusing on environmental issues: Young Friends of the Earth Europe, Žvejonė and Žali.lt. I worked on different projects like movie screenings and lectures to raise awareness, discussion clubs in schools, various workshops, but my favorite one was an urban gardens project.

I’m a certified painter and decorator and have experience working in construction painting and laying tiles.

I have 2 years experience as a full time dog groomer, very comfortable and confident handling difficult, large, reactive or nervous dogs, also providing consent based dog grooming. In my opinion the dog and their wellbeing comes before anything else.
