Description

What motivates us the most is the chance to connect with people from different backgrounds and learn from new experiences. We truly believe in cultural exchange as a way to grow personally and understand the world better.
We both graduated in Nursing, and for the past 9 months Ilaria has been living in Brazil, where she has been learning a lot, about the culture, the language, and a new way of living. This experience has deepened her interest in social and community work, and strengthened my adaptability and empathy. Meanwhile, Marco spent five months in Madagascar working on a health project. He immersed himself in a very complex environment, learning a lot about a new culture and a new language. It was also an opportunity for him to help, challenge himself, and work effectively as part of a team.
Helping others, working in a team, and contributing to meaningful projects make us feel fulfilled. we are curious, open minded, and I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone, learning a new skill and adapting to a different way of life.
What brings us happiness is a sense of community, good conversations, time spent in nature, and sharing moments with people. we find joy in the small things like cooking together, hearing someone’s story, or simply being useful.

I studied languages at school, and I’ve always enjoyed connecting with different cultures and learning new ways of seeing life. I’ve traveled a lot, and now I’m living in Brazil, partly to experience a new culture and partly to learn a new language. I would love to share what I’ve learned along the way and connect with people through meaningful exchanges. I’m also interested in improving my Spanish and continuing to grow through new experiences

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are both nurses with a shared passion for learning, connecting with others, and living meaningful experiences through cultural exchange.
Ilaria has a degree in Nursing and has been living in Brazil for the past 9 months, involved in social and educational projects, and volunteering in a hostel where she helped with breakfast and guest reception. Marco is also a nurse and has been living in Madagascar for 5 months, working on community health initiatives.
In addition to our backgrounds in healthcare, Marco has a diploma in Agricultural Studies and a deep passion for agriculture, sustainability, and working with the land. He also loves cooking and experimenting with new recipes. We both enjoy being in nature: hiking in the mountains, climbing, practicing outdoor sports, and spending time in peaceful, natural environments . Ilaria also practice yoga and recently started learning crochet, which is really enjoying! We also practice Acroyoga and we are trying to learn the saponification process to create soaps, shampoo, and conditioner.
We are responsible, curious, and easygoing people, happy to contribute wherever help is needed whether it’s in the kitchen, the garden, with guests, or in community based projects. We love working with others, learning new things, sharing knowledge and building positive and respectful relationships with hosts and fellow volunteers.
