  • Description

Hey, my name is Itamar. 28.
    A man on a journey...

    Born and raised in Israel.
Graduated High school and volunteered as a counselor in a boarding school for a year.
Served a mandatory military service of 2.5 years,
And started working several jobs while completing a Latin dance instructing course and instructing group and private lessons.

Did that for more than two years to gather the money for a trip I was dreaming about for a decade - more or less hahaha.

I have a diverse experience in education for more than 15 years.
On top of growing up in a big family with a lot of cousins and being the proud uncle of 7 nieces and one nephew.
I worked with all the ages. 0-18.
From babysitting newborns to instructing and teaching teenagers.
Especially outdoor - nature and or science related activities.

(Will mention I don't drink or smoke.
    I don't mind if you do...hahaha)

    Started my journey June 2021.
Since then i got to visit the USA, Mexico, New Zealand and am now in AUS.

    I have a Working - Holiday Visa,
A white card and the proud owner of a beautiful Toyota PRADO.
I plan on living in it as I work and travel across AUS.

Currently looking for a job, ideally close to Picton, NSW.

Trying to work and save money for my next adventures while exploring AUS.
It's great to acquire & develope new skills and gather experiences.
Once the car is ready, the plan is to sleep in it when on the road.

Since I arrived to AUS I got to:
Volunteer as a Workawayer, bteach people dancing and skydive.

I also try to donate plasma regularly about every 2 weeks.
I unfortunately can't donate blood since I've been diagnosed with both Celiac and Crohn's disease during my military service.

I choose to follow a very restricted diet given my medical condition in order to manage my symptoms.
Luckily it's a very basic and cheap diet so I didn't have many problems with it during my travels.
I've been cooking for myself and am willing to cook for you as well if needed.
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have regarding my medical condition.

Had the privilege of meeting incredible people and experience amazing things,
But mainly - got the opportunity to learn so much about so many things! Including myself...

Started my journey as an adventure team instructor and as a cabin counselor in a summer camp at the east coast. (USA)
(obstacle course, High ropes, Low ropes, Zip lines, top rope climbing and a swing).

Continued to my skydiving training in Perris, CA.
Got my B license. 80 jumps and counting.
Took a few trips to some other cool locations in the states like Las Vegas, New York city, San Diego, Los Angeles and more.

In Mexico got to visit San Cristobal, Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

In NZ I worked in Hastings, Hawke's Bay.
I worked there for a few months in an agricultural infrastructure company as a general laborer and after that as a hammer hand \ skilled laborer through Tradestaff.
Saved money for the rest of the trip.
Got to drive and travel all over NZ.

Got to Melbourne, Australia at April 2023.
Volunteered as Workawayer for 3 different people, and then moved to Sydney.
    Currently in Sydney.

Hopefully I will have the chance to meet you,
    Work with you,
    learn from you,
help you with whatever I can,
And maybe even teach you a few things...

Worked with babies, children, teens and young adults.

On top of that, I have 7 nieces, a nephew and many younger cousins.
So I have a lot of experience with kids.

    - as a part of my work in Education, I took part in and was responsible for several volunteering and charity programs that included among other things:

    helping around house and renovating
Creating decorations and art pieces (arts and crafts)

As one who served as a combat soldier, I am used to work hard and the mindset is to try and find solutions. Both served me very well in other places after my service.
On top of that, I worked half time as a handyman + maintenance on a camping - team building site.

During my travels I got to do a lot of manual labor, handyman, construction and gardening. Some as a paid skilled laborer and some as a Workawayer.

Will be happy to help you with any manual labor that may or may not require work with power tools.
Willing to work on whatever project you want.
If I won't know how to do or use something - I'll be more than happy to learn.

    - Grew up with multiple dogs in the house and in general enjoy interacting and working with animals.
Would love to help taking care of your pets and learn how to work with the animals on your farm.
