Hey, my name is Itamar. 29.
A man on a journey...
Born and raised in Israel.
Graduated High school and volunteered as a counselor in a boarding school for a year.
Served a mandatory military service of 2.5 years,
And started working several jobs while completing a Latin dance instructing course and instructing group and private lessons.
Did that for more than two years to gather the money for a trip I was dreaming about for a decade - more or less hahaha.
I have a diverse experience in education for more than 15 years.
On top of growing up in a big family with a lot of cousins and being the proud uncle of 7 nieces and one nephew.
I worked with all the ages. 0-18.
From babysitting newborns to instructing and teaching teenagers.
Especially outdoor - nature and or science related activities.
(Will mention I don't drink or smoke.
I don't mind if you do...hahaha)
Started my journey June 2021.
Since then i got to visit the USA, Mexico, New Zealand and am now in AUS.
I have a Working - Holiday Visa,
A white card and am currently looking for a car.
I plan on living in it as I work and travel across AUS.
in the past few months I've been working 7 days a week.
Mon - Fri as a construction worker,
Sat - Sun in a skydiving drop zone in Wilton NSW.
I had to temporarily stop working for both given that my previous car got written off due to a car accident.
Once I get a new car - I plan on getting back to work, and save money for my next adventures while exploring AUS.
Since I arrived to AUS I got to:
Volunteer as a Workawayer, teach people dancing, skydive and get a surfing lesson at the iconic Bondi Beach.
I also try to donate plasma regularly once a fortnight.
I unfortunately can't donate blood since I've been diagnosed with both Celiac and Crohn's disease during my military service.
I choose to follow a very restricted diet given my medical condition in order to manage my symptoms.
Luckily it's a very basic and cheap diet so I didn't have many problems with it during my travels.
I've been cooking for myself and am willing to cook for you as well if needed.
Please feel free to ask any questions you might have regarding my medical condition.
Had the privilege of meeting incredible people and experience amazing things,
But mainly - got the opportunity to learn so much about so many things!
Including myself...
Started my journey as an adventure team instructor and as a cabin counselor in a summer camp at the east coast. (USA)
(Obstacle courses, High ropes, Low ropes, Zip lines, top rope climbing and a swing).
Continued to my skydiving training in Perris, CA.
Got my B license. 88 jumps and counting.
Took a few trips to some other cool locations in the states like Las Vegas, New York city, San Diego, Los Angeles and more.
In Mexico I got to visit San Cristobal, Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
In NZ I worked in Hastings, Hawke's Bay.
I worked there for a few months in an agricultural infrastructure company as a general laborer and after that as a hammer hand \ skilled laborer through Tradestaff.
Saved money for the rest of the journey.
Got to drive and travel all over NZ.
Got to Melbourne, Australia at April 2023.
Volunteered as Workawayer for 3 different people, and then moved to Sydney.
Currently in Sydney.
Hopefully I will have the chance to meet you,
Work with you,
learn from you,
help you with whatever I can,
And maybe even teach you a few things...
Looking forward to hearing from you,
ItamarCentres d’intérêt

- Worked in Education, mostly Informal education, under many different hats, titles and organisations for the last 15 years.
Worked with babies, children, teens and young adults.
On top of that, I have 7 nieces, a nephew and many younger cousins.

Working with the elderly (including technology and social media introduction but not only)
Eco projects (including composting but not only)
helping around house and renovating
Creating decorations and art pieces (arts and crafts)
Teaching about science and science experiments

I'll be more than happy to teach you some Latin dancing!
- I worked in a Ritz Carlton hotel for 10 months.
I worked as a Loss Prevention and security officer, a waiter and a barista. So I have some experience with customer service and hospitality in general.
- I am First Aid and CPR certified both in Israel and the US.
Got the Red Cross certification as a part of my training as an instructor in a summer camp (June 2021)
- I grew up in a family of handymen.
Got to help my grandpa and uncles with many projects.
As one who served as a combat soldier, I am used to work hard and the mindset is to try and find solutions. Both served me very well in other places after my service.
On top of that, I worked half time as a handyman + maintenance on a camping - team building site.
During my travels I got to do a lot of manual labor, handyman, construction and gardening. Some as a paid skilled laborer and some as a Workawayer.
Will be happy to help you with any manual labor that may or may not require work with power tools.
Willing to work on whatever project you want.
If I won't know how to do or use something - I'll be more than happy to learn.
- Grew up with multiple dogs in the house and in general enjoy interacting and working with animals.
Would love to help taking care of your pets and learn how to work with the animals on your farm.
- On my first Workaway in the USA I got to volunteer in a small farm.
Took care of chickens, ducks, turkeys and a pig.Âge

News about the cyclone about to hit NZ got me concerned since there was a small overlap between the northern part of the south island and the storm.
I reached out to several people and luckily got a response from Felicity inviting me to spend a few days with the adorable, 5 year old - Noah, and her.
