Hi, I'm Johanna, an Ecuadorian graphic designer with an adventurous, creative and entrepreneurial soul. I consider myself an experienced and open-minded traveler. I love nature, art, music, good food, new experiences and everything that nourishes the spirit and makes us happy.

Since the end of 2020 I returned to my home Ayampe, a magical coastal and surfer town located in the area of Baja Manabi in Ecuador. Here I manage a beautiful B&B called "La Buena Vida", where we receive amazing people from all over the world, especially surfers, yogis and people who just love to be in contact with nature. I have over 10 years of hospitality experience, so I can be an excellent addition to any tourism business.

My graphic design skills can be very helpful if you need graphic material for business, events and social media.

Before the pandemic I was traveling for four years, leaving my beloved Ayampe behind. Although I love my home and country, I have once again felt the need to go out and explore. Being able to share experiences and meet new people gives me great inspiration and a broader perspective of the world and myself.

In my previous travels I have been to Germany, Georgia, Turkey, Luxembourg, France and Spain. In Latin America I have been to Colombia, Mexico and Peru. I also get to know a lot of my country and have lived in Quito, Guayaquil, Galapagos, Cuenca and Vilcabamba.

When I travel, I like to spend some quality time to get to know more about the special things of each place and to make friends. I also believe that it is important to contribute positively in some way wherever you are. My main goal is to bring a message of love to mother earth and to oneself.

I enjoy cooking, yoga, exploring new places, listening to good music, dancing and I love animals. I love the ocean but I also enjoy the mountains.

Previously I have worked as a volunteer, in hostels in Ecuador, in an art and community theater festival in Berlin, I have participated in various environmental and social activities. I have experience house-sitting and pet-sitting (dogs and cats). I have also stayed in several places around the world where I have always had wonderful experiences with my hosts.
I like to live well and in harmony which is why I am tidy, clean, sociable, always willing to help in any way possible and respectful of other people's space. Additionally I love arts and crafts projects and I also have experience organizing cultural and entrepreneurial events.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a graphic designer with more of 13 years of experience and I have also worked managing hospitality businesses such as restaurants and hostels.
In addition to my design career, I am one of the founding members of a family micro business called Mimi Tejidos, which designs and produces handcrafted Ecuadorian knitwear.
Furthermore, I am the founder and organizer of El Colibrí Festival Ayampe, an event that unifies and promotes creativity, entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism, held quarter-yearly in Ayampe, Ecuador.
- I speak English and Spanish
- I am very creative, I enjoy doing art projects, crafts, design, decoration, for example I can make signs, paintings, floral arrangements, etc..
- I like to organize spaces making them more efficient.
- I have several years of experience organizing cultural and environmental events.
- I love to cook healthy and delicious food. I am also creative in the kitchen, I like to create dishes with the ingredients I have in the moment.
- I love animals, for me it is very important to treat them with love and respect.
- I have been practicing yoga for almost 10 years and although I am not a teacher, if anyone wants to join my practice I will be very happy to share what I know and have some company.
- I have a wide experience in customer service, especially with travelers, I love to help giving recommendations, sharing experiences and make them feel safe and comfortable.
- I also like to take pictures and I can help with social media.
