Description

I'm curious and interested in understanding metaphysical & spiritual perspectives. I've enjoyed meeting and collaborating with new & different people in ways that enhance everyone's experience.

I love learning about local history & culture, ecosystems, natural cycles and cultural rhythms. Most recently living in a dry cabin in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA exposed me to a long dark winter with Aurora activity transitioning through to midnight sun months with hiking, berry picking and salmon fishing.

Previously I enjoyed many years SCUBA diving, bicycle touring, volunteering and meditating in places closer to the equator.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Moving around has meant adapting and picking up work along the way such as fruit picking, hospitality and tourism as a SCUBA diving guide, SCUBA instructor, resort manager, massage therapist, yoga teacher, housekeeper, and server, mostly in South East Asia & New Zealand. Sometimes paid and many work trades.

Through WOOF, HelpX, and Work away I've contributed to farm, garden, ranch, and yard projects- mostly unskilled labor as I have little formal education in these areas. These projects often involve contributions to household upkeep & child care.

As a volunteer post natural disasters I've been a team member and team leader cleaning up from fires, hurricanes, and earthquakes. This has involved cleaning up waterlogged and moldy belongings, shovelling ash and sifting for valuables, deconstructing damaged or condemned buildings (wooden, cement and metal), and building toilets, showers and homes (from cement, wood, and metal sheeting).
