Hello!

My name is Hannes, I’m 19 years old, and after recently graduating from high school and now traveling in New Zealand to gain new experiences, explore different cultures, and meet people from all walks of life. After working for two months in the kiwi orchards I am now staying with a host in the Bay of Pleanty area.

I grew up on a small island called Spiekeroog in northern Germany, where I spent my childhood and completed my education. Personally, I am a very social and active person. I love being around people, whether working or having fun. I’m also passionate about sports, participating in a variety of activities, including water sports and ball games. I enjoy keeping fit and, in my free time, I like jogging, walking, and exploring nature.

The boarding school I attended was a perfect match for my interests. During my time there, I gained valuable experience in areas like dike construction, gardening, animal husbandry, and organizational skills. Additionally, I was able to participate in various sports and fitness activities, which helped me build teamwork and resilience.

After graduating high school in May, I worked full-time on Spiekeroog until September, before embarking on my journey. I held positions as a lifeguard at a public indoor pool and as a sports assistant, where I led fitness courses and organized game events for children. Through these roles, I gained significant experience in customer service and the working world in general.

Since I am still exploring possible career paths, I hope that my travels will provide answers and help me gain a variety of new experiences. I’m always excited to try new things and am open to challenges!
