Description
My name is Ethan. I was born and raised in Minnesota in the United States. My grandparents have a large swath of land where they have been hobby farmers, growing produce and raising animals for forty years. So needless to say, it's a setting and way of life that I've been around and enjoyed for the entirety of my time on this earth. And particularly over the last seven years as my love and interest for farming has grown, as has my involvement.
For me, so much of my interest and enjoyment comes down to food. Having a direct relationship with what I consume is something I value tremendously. Pursuing that relationship excites and drives me everyday. With Workaway, I really hope to gain exposure and knowledge to different approaches and agricultural practices that are healthier for the consumer, kinder to the animal, and gentler on the land. However, I am extremely open and would be eager to learn from and be involved in as much as I can! Even if the task at hand isn't all about tomatoes and chickens.
In my working life, most of my time has been spent working very hands-on and labor-driven jobs, largely in concrete construction and landscaping. I learn quickly and like to think I know what hard work is.

Overall I would describe myself as a self contented and active person. I love most anything that gets me moving. In my free time I enjoy camping, canoeing, reading, playing cards, and I adore cooking! Hopefully that gives a better idea about who I am. Hope to see you soon!
