Hello, I'm Gary from Seattle, USA ... friendly and a hard worker with a lot of gardening & DIY experience.

I am a retired non-profit fundraiser (Seattle Children's Hospital) and teacher (SE Asia) with extensive experience with home repair & maintenance, gardening & landscaping, and general property upkeep. I enjoy working independently or as part of a team.

Do you need help in your garden in June, 2026? I will be in England at that time and available.

I am happy to do cam calls and have reference letters and a recent police background report to share if that's helpful. Thank you for your consideration.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have extensive DIY handyman & gardening skills and have renovated / restored a number of homes in Seattle.

In 2023, I spent five months helping friends in California restore a 65-year-old wooden sailboat (see photos) - an interesting, challenging, and satisfying project.

I worked for Seattle Children's Hospital (USA) for more than 20 years doing fundraising & event management. Always happy to discuss fundraising and share ideas.

I spent more than 10 years teaching English and other subjects in SE Asia, including elementary, middle school & high school students, and university students / adults. Now retired, I still enjoy teaching on occasion.

When involved in projects & activities I do my best to exceed expectations whenever possible. And I always try to have fun.

Traveling, teaching, and working on projects is enjoyable and rewarding for me. I also love the beach, yoga, hiking, blues music, vintage cars & bicycles, good fiction books, and quiet time.
