Hello again Workaway hosts and Workawayers, I'm David Nathan. Although originally from England, I've been a bit of a nomad most this life and seems I am happiest on the road, although I'd like to live in a small cottage or tiny house 😉; for the last seven years since quitting ‘normal’ working life, I have become a self-employed adventurer living in a simpler way, as a minimalist; and not only from the environmental point of view but also from a personal/spiritual standpoint. So I have been traveling around to learn about alternative ways for sustainable living, permaculture, eco projects, animal rescue and to make a re-connection with nature and myself!
I would consider doing something new as I want to expand my skill set.
I was a workaway volunteer for about 8 years up until 2021, then took a break until this year. Currently I am volunteering in Sweden 🇸🇪 before deciding where my next adventure takes me...?Centres d’intérêt

I have plenty of experience gardening in general, pruning, mowing, hedge trimming etc, picking fruit and have driven tractors. I'm pretty useful with a hammer, an axe or hand saw; have repointed stonework/brickwork using natural mortar/ building techniques, but also like dry stone wall building! I love working with wood but want to learn more....I have a passion for eco-friendly and permaculture projects, off-grid self-sustainable living!
I love all animals and have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, hens, sheep, goats, donkeys, horses, pigs and a cute ferret!Âge

Autres infos...
I love to travel and hike/walk and read interesting and spiritual books and have moved around a lot in my life. I learnt to practice meditation at a Buddhist centre in 2020, and want to renew this energy. In recent years...in october 2010, I spent 2 weeks in Kenya teaching english at a school in the Masai Mara. Since 2013, I've volunteered through Workaway in UK, Spain, Poland, Italy, Portugal & Germany.
In 2014, I participated with the Findhorn Foundation Eco-community:
Experience Week
Exploring Community Life
Iona Summer Retreat
In 2016 I walked from Switzerland to Spain on the St James Way (Camino de Santiago-French Way) and have walked other ways since, (Camino Finisterre, Camino Ingles, Camino Primitivo, Via de la Plata, Camino Mozarabe, and in 2023 Caminos Aragones and del Norte)
In 2017, I spent 3 months volunteering for an aid organization helping refugees in Greece.
I love music, especially folky melodic and ancient sounds... ☺️Looking forward to meet and interact with the wider Workaway community! Buen Camino, blessings! 😌🙏Informations complémentaires

He helped me look after my horse, care for the dog, keep the car, house and garden tidy.
He worked meticulously and I always knew I could leave everything in safe hands.
