Description

We are a married couple in our 70's who are fit and live in a rural area where we enjoy outdoor activities. We have three children who now all have families of their own. We have been together for 55 years and have been teachers, home makers and travellers together including volunteer work in Madagascar and Zambia. In 2016 we retired from our 28 year business establishing and running an ecotour and accommodation business in The Catlins where we still live. Fergus also worked as a soil conservator for a local authority. Fergus interests and skills include hiking, swimming and e-biking, sketching and water colour painting, building (he has built three houses including the one we live in), gardening and stone walling. Mary's interests and skills include drama, education, art, home making skills (sewing, knitting, cooking), music, walking, swimming and e-biking. We both are conservationists and put much of our retirement time into creating and managing nature reserves where we live.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My interests and skills include hiking, swimming and e-biking, sketching and water colour painting, building (I have built three wooden frame houses, including my home), gardening and stone walling. I have worked in conservation including tree propagation and planting, soil management, bird conservation (especially penguins) and pest control. I studied geography, history, geology, botany, and biology and have an lifelong interest in these subjects.
