Description
Hi! My name is Esther and I'm a 22 year old college graduate who is living in Córdoba, Spain for a year to teach English. I’m originally from Massachusetts, United States but my extended family is from parts of China and Taiwan. From Singapore to Sweden (many involving homestays), I have been fortunate enough to travel to over twenty one countries and each time I am amazed by wonderful people sharing their cultures. Through these experiences, I have had the privilege of learning a lot about myself as well as the world in which I inhabit. Some of my interests include meditation, documentary-filmmaking, art, piano, hiking, gardening, and languages but I am always open to learning new things! I am also a pescatarian (vegetarian who eats fish) and enjoy cooking healthy meals from scratch. I’m excited to be a part of Workaway as a way of connecting with locals to make my travels more meaningful, as I’ll be backpacking parts of Europe on my days off from work. My mantra in life has been: “Seeking new dance moves to add to my dance of life” :)

I have experience in education (specifically in English teaching and mindful practices). Additionally I have experience in farm work through other workaways and cultural exchange opportunities. I am a hard worker and fast learner. As a teacher, I am constantly learning and gathering new tools to enhance life!

I enjoy socializing, while also spending solo time in nature by hiking or running. I also enjoy rock climbing in my spare time. Some daily practices I implement in my life include meditation, journaling, and creative cooking (playing with spices and flavors). I also have my Bachelor’s in Spanish and Film which inspires me to document the world through a lens.
