HEY THERE! We are Josefina and Ernesto, a traveling couple, let us introduce ourselves...

We met in Denmark in 2019, while we were both volunteering in a big community. We fell in love and we kept traveling together. In 2021 we had the experience of living in a nice van while volunteering in different places around Portugal. In 2022 we traveled and worked in Argentina.

Now, in 2024, we are looking for our next adventure! We'd love to find a place where we could learn meaningful skills (like permaculture, sustainable building, healing plants and holistic therapies), meet like-minded people and contribute to interesting projects. We are both very easy-going, friendly and reliable, but also honest, kind-hearted and motivated.

We are interested in alternative ways of living, where people value relationships, honesty, freedom, Nature and spirituality.

JOSEFINA: Hola! My name is Josefina and I am almost 30. I was born in Argentina but I am an Italian citizen as well.

I started my traveling journey in Italy (in 2018), and continued discovering Europe since then. I have volunteered in Denmark and Portugal. My greatest experience was at the community where I met Ernesto. In this place, I took care of many different tasks (from maintenance to community lunch) and discovered what it means to live in community. I enjoy open and honest relationships with people and I love to share experiences and learn new skills.

I am passionate about Astrology and i'm currently studying Naturopathy to learn more about plants and healing techniques. I enjoy dancing, doing yoga, skating, reading, hiking, meditating and cooking. I have worked as a professional cook in different restaurants and cafes.

Besides Spanish, I speak English and Italian fluently .

ERNESTO: Ciao! I am 29 and I come from Italy. I have volunteered many times in the past (in Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal...), and those have been some of the best experiences in my life. Another great experience has been walking the Saint James Way, in Spain. I like traveling, hiking in the wood, reading books, writing short stories, and building and fixing things with my hands. I am looking forward to learning some technical skills like solar systems and ecobuilding.

I consider myself very friendly and easy-going, but also reliable and hard working. I like humor, books and music (I am learning the harmonica and I play the drums and the cajon). I enjoy manual work very much, and I have some good DIY skills (maintenance, wood working, home repair etc). In the past I have worked in some building sites too.

I can speak English very well, and if you want to learn Italian, I can help!

Siamo Ernesto e Josefina, una coppia di ragazzi di 29 anni. In questi ultimi mesi abbiamo sentito una forte chiamata verso la Sardegna, e così abbiamo preso la decisione di venire a conoscere la vostra bella isola e i suoi misteri.

Da vari anni stiamo viaggiando e lavorando (sia come volontari su Workaway che come dipendenti) in numerosi progetti legati agli eventi, all'ospitalità, alla sostenibilità, alla permacoltura e agli stili di vita alternativi.

- Josefina (30 anni): Sono nata in Argentina e mi sono trasferita in Italia a 24 anni (ho la doppia nazionalità). Mi sono diplomata in una scuola alberghiera e mi sono dedicata professionalmente alla cucina per oltre 5 anni, sia in Argentina che in Italia e in Danimarca. Durante i miei viaggi ho partecipato a diversi lavori di volontariato, dove ho collaborato in attività di giardinaggio, cura degli animali, manutenzione e organizzazione di eventi. La mia esperienza lavorativa più recente è stata quella di receptionist in un campeggio sul Lago Maggiore. Mi piace imparare cose nuove e scambiare esperienze con le persone. Negli ultimi anni ho sviluppato un grande amore per l'Astrologia e per la medicina olistica (attualmente faccio letture di carta natale e sono iscritta ad una scuola di Naturopatia). Parlo lo spagnolo (lingua madre), l’italiano (seconda lingua) e l’inglese (fluente).

- Ernesto (29 anni): Da sempre ho una grande passione per il lavoro manuale: manutenzione, giardinaggio, lavori di manutenzione e di costruzione. Da quando ho compiuto 18 anni ho incominciato a trascorrere vari mesi di viaggio e volontariato ogni anno (con Workaway), imparando a lavorare in giardino, a cooperare con altre persone, e a prendermi cura del luogo in cui sono. Mi considero molto amichevole, aperto e un lavoratore instancabile. Conosco bene l’inglese, ho la patente, e ottime abilità manuali. Mi occupo anche di web design, nel caso aveste bisogno per il sito.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

JOSEFINA: I have a degree in restaurant management and I have worked as a cook for more than 4 years (in cafes, restaurants, caterings). I have experience as a receptionist as well.

I can take care of general cleaning tasks and basic maintenance, such as painting and fixing. I have been taking care of animals in previous workaways and would be happy to do it again.

I am looking forward to learning a lot about gardening, permaculture, healing plants, and many other things! I enjoy working in the garden and don't mind physical work.

And of course, i can read your birth chart! :)

ERNESTO: Over the years I have developed some good DIY skills: woodworking, building, general maintenance, homesteading, asbestos insulation removal (the last one may be made up, but I hope you won't need it much anyway). I love to work with my hands; any practical work that involves building/fixing is a blessing to me.

During my previous volunteering experiences (with WWOOF and Workaway) I worked on farms too, so I know how to take care of animals and work in the garden.

I always try my best to accomplish every job with my own strength, but I like working together with other people too.

I can cook and take care of the house. I have been living and traveling on my own for the last seven years, and I like to think of myself as very independent. Now I met Josi and I love to share my life with her.

I have a degree in Linguistics and, if you want, I can teach you my beautiful language, Italian.
I am very good with computers too and I can build a website for you, if you need one!
