Hello! 👋

I’m Emma, from Wellington, New Zealand. I love meeting new people, going on adventures, and spending time with animals and in nature. I like to look on the bright side of life, take as many opportunities as I can, and live in the present moment. I'm happiest when there's sun on my face, great company and good coffee 🌞

Since 2023, I’ve been hosting Workaway volunteers in New Zealand, so I know exactly what makes a great Workaway experience for everyone involved. In April 2024, I decided to take a break from my career and travel around Europe. I’ve always enjoyed hosting, so it's been great to finally experience the Workaway exchange from the other side aswell!

I own a property in New Zealand with a large garden, so I’m experienced in gardening, property maintenance, basic DIY, and decorating. I’m a Graphic Designer by trade, so I’ve got a keen eye for detail and design. If you need help with things like websites or graphic design, I’m happy to put these skills to good use. I’m also an absolute foodie and love to cook and share meals together!

Growing up, my parents ran a small bed and breakfast, so I learned from an early age how to be a good host. I also have hospitality experience, having worked both in the kitchen and serving customers. As you can see, I’ve got a diverse set of skills that I’m excited to put to use while helping you out. And if there’s something I haven’t done before, I’d love the opportunity to learn from you! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience with property maintenance, renovation, gardening, horticulture, hospitality work (cafe's, restaurants and accomodation), animal care (chickens, cats, dogs), and I love to cook. I grew up helping with the family run Bed & Breakfast, so have always understood what it takes to be a great host. I love creative projects and working with my hands.

I also have a degree and seven years experience in graphic design and marketing (from websites to branding) and am always happy to put these skills to good use.
