Hey there!
We're Emma and Arno and we decided to take the year off to go travelling in Brazil with our 2 and half year old son, Elio.
We've always loved travelling, discovering new things, meeting new people, learning and practicing new languages. Our little boy has travelled quite a lot already so he's quite flexible and easy-going.
We're from France and so far, as a family, we've lived in Portugal and French Guiana and travelled to many different places with our van.
Emma is an English and Spanish teacher but this past year, she's also worked in a wild animal shelter and a plant nursery.
Arno has been a wood construction engineer for 13 years. He has been a part of a lot eco projects in French Guiana. He also spends a lot of time gardening and loves DIY.
Elio can't do much for now a part from putting away his toys and singing nursery rhymes..!
We are both passionate about our jobs and we've always been responsible at any jobs we've ever had. We are both trustworthy people and hate to let people down. We find it extremely normal to be punctual, serious and reliable at anything that we do.
Above all, we can't wait to learn and experience new things!

I've been an English teacher for 12 years now and I have worked with students of all ages and nationalities. I taught in London, Seville, Lisbon and French Guiana.
Before being a teacher, I had many different jobs. I waited tables, sat behind a computer all day, promoted nightclubs, organised and participated in social events, advised people on films, and I even had to pose for a drawing class once!
This past year, I took a special interest in nature and animals, so I've worked as an animal carer in a wild animal shelter and also learned to do some gardening at a plant nursery.
I'm also more than willing to learn new skills and above all, I believe you learn the most by actually doing the job and always being open to criticisms.
I'm very capable and extremely motivated and excited about this whole new experience.

Everybody welcomed me really well and made me feel really comfortable. I was there for a month, and time just flew by! I had a lot of free time and work was nice and easy. I got to spend time with the guests which was great!
I wish I could have stayed longer.... But I now feel I have a home in Lisbon :)
