Hey there!

I am Emily, 26 years old, coming from Northern Germany. I studied Sustainable Regional Management (finished my BA 2021). After that I worked 10 months in a coworking space as a coworking host - which means I organized things around there and was the contact person and arranged community events.

I already did 5 Workaways, 2 in New Zealand and 3 in Australia for a duration of 8 weeks. I did gardening and maintenance jobs and it was mostly a self-sufficient lifestyle I enjoyed.

In my freetime I like to take walks especially with friends and/or our family dog. I occasionally play tennis, do (acro)yoga, play guitar and piano and read. But mostly I spend time with my friends and watch documentaries or plan something. I like to cook and attend to community events. Since New Zealand I consider myself a hiker as well ;).

I live a conscious life because I think it's good for myself and for the world. I spend some time on political engagement - especially on climate justice. Our treatment with resources is important to me - thats why I want to be part of eco projects. I also wish for a peaceful society with more justice, so I meditate and learn about communication. I also have a big heart for animals.

I hope that I can learn more about sustainable projects and get to know other people with different mindsets. I really enjoyed meeting people and see their daily life through workaway.

I'm Raphael, 28 years old and from Hamburg in northern Germany.

I'm just finishing my studies in sustainable business and I'm looking forward to start a longer trip with my girlfriend Emily in Australia from the beginning of August.

I love to be out in nature. My current place of residence is surrounded by beautiful forests and lakes, I really enjoy walking or riding my bike around here.

In my free time I like to play soccer or squash and I also take care of a common vegetable and fruit patch with a group of friends.

I like to take responsibility in projects and get involved with my sustainability perspective. To relax, I like to meditate.


I am very much looking forward to meeting many beautiful people with their perspectives on life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Emily:
I am good at keeping structure, I can work well independently but also in a team. I have some gardening knowledge although every country and garden differs. I can cook well and I am good at household tasks because I already had my own place for 5 years. I am good with horses, owned and cared for a horse for 5 years. I am very animal friendly in general which is why I don´t want to support some farms. I am well with kids and with dogs as long as they don´t misbehave completely.
