Hi everyone, I'm Emil from Italy.
I'm 19, I've just finished a scientific high-school in Florence and before starting university I want to travel around the world and challenge myself, that's why i'm open to every type of experience and happy to always try new things.
I love meeting new people and getting to know them. I enjoy debating and questioning things, it excites me to see and discuss new points of view. I'm also very curious, easy-going and adventurous, hopefully travelling will stimulate these qualities of mine.
I was born in the countryside between Florence and Siena, so I grew up surrounded by nature. Every year I work around the fields, in vineyards and olive groves so I've gotten used to hard labor jobs :)) . I balance my life with parties, music, dancing, friends, family, nature, but also a good dose of alone time.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I work a lot in nature, so I do a lot of gardening, cleaning ups, maintenance and planting . Every September I spend three weeks picking the grapes for Chianti’s wine; it’s always a fun experience because we all get together and spend the whole day in the fields, creating great energies between us, so to survive such a tiring job. My parents recently bought a house in Grosseto, where I helped renovate the insides and outsides of it.
This year, with a couple of friends I helped bring back to life a bar. We made it into a new social spot, essential for a provincial setting. We brought music, drinks and food to it, so I learnt a lot about managing a place and what it takes to make a crowd happy and comfortable. During this renovating period at the bar, we also organised little parties for children of the area, creating a joyful and exciting environment for them.
My mother is Swedish, so I do speak a bit of the language, but it’s something I definitely want to improve on my workaway trip. I speak good English and Italian, so if needed I can also bring some Italian to your home :)!
I also did a project in which I had to go around Florence, from door to door to sell newspapers. During this period, I met new people and learnt the skill of relating to people.

I love fishing, trekking, swimming in the lake near my house, skiing, but I also enjoy afternoons of board games with my friends, but most of all I am excited to experience new hobbies!
