I’m Elsien, a curious and sociable traveler who loves learning new skills and giving back. After years of a regular 9–5 office job, I’m excited to also explore a more hands-on way of experiencing life while helping others.
I love cooking (or at least try to cook) vegetarian haute-cuisine dishes, I work out regularly and I am fond of (caring for) animals: point in case is my elderly, shelter cat. I have plenty of patience with kids, elders and animals - although I can be a little impatient with with other things in life ;) I think traveling will help to get out of that modus that we are used to in the Netherlands (yup, that's where I am from). I’m eager to help out, learn, and enjoy meaningful conversations and good stories along the way.
My guilty pleasures are: old detectives (Sherlock Holmes, Poirot, Ms Marple), old Greek mythology, videos of animals eating fruits, dancing and knowing random facts.
I wish I knew more about: plants, animal caring, photography and history.
I’m looking forward to meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and contributing wherever I can!
My name is Mark, and I would describe myself as a friendly considerate man. I adore animals, am interested in music and enjoy various types of cuisines. I always try to leave nature in a better way than it was before I arrived, for example by cleaning up trash.
Some of my interests are history, topography, art and travelling. Just like Elsien I like to dream away at detective series, and what I also like to watch are mystery films/series.
