Hello! My name is Elijah (like the prophet), I am 26 years young, but a lot of folks say I'm an old soul (whatever that means) Travel is a great way to learn about the world and see ourselves through a new lens. I am passionate about learning new things, music of all kinds, and being immersed in nature. I'm a hard worker, and I care most about providing quality care in everything I do. I find animals and gardening to be very therapeutic, and I would really enjoy any opportunity to work in an environment with either or both. I love to delve into conscious conversation, make music, hike, read, and explore new places.

This was a excellant cultural experience. The oppurtunity to be involved with the arts collective in town was a very enriching experience. I had the honor of working with a skilled sculptor in preparing for a mardi gras mask making workshop and I was able to make my own mask. Elijah is a special old soul and he fits in with likeminded family. I only had a short opening for him as another volunteer was coming in from France for this slot. Highly reccomend this host! Beautiful nature, great people, good food, you'll hear some of your favorite records in the evening and learn a lot. Elijah showed up at the very beginning of our most ambitious project, framing a big communal center for the whole project, and jumped in with both feet. He was adaptable to any task, from drilling structural steel to cutting floor joists. When he wasn't sure about something, he clarified it right away and made sure the job was done well. I'm so grateful for my time at here. It's rare to find a community like this that is so kind, wise, and intrested in my personal growth. Elijah was fantastic to have around! He is a great worker, a smart guy, and very good company. He wouldn't stop playing jazz which started to get old, but overall it seemed to put people in a good mood ;) Warning- he might stay longer than he initially says he will! What a lovely experience with Elijah here on our farm... the original plan was for him to stay for just 10 days, yet he ultimately stayed for over a month until he had to leave on his next adventure.
