Description
Hello there,
We're a French couple on a one year journey in Australia. We both needed a break after our studies and wanted to discover new countries, cultures and spend time in the nature to do some manual work. We just finished a year in New Zealand doing mainly volunteering work and we loved it! That’s why we decided to continue travelling in the same way in other countries and we're now in Australia on a working holiday visa!
We’re looking forward to meeting new people and sharing time and experiences with hosts and other workawayers!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
We're an enthusiastic and complementary duo. Elie is a relatively calm person, loves movies and board games, he’s a great cook and an animal lover. He likes hiking, cycling and is always there to lend a hand. Also, he has just finished his engineering studies. On the other hand, Héloïse likes to be active, loves hiking, climbing, cycling, dancing, playing the harp and the piano. She studied political science, used to live one year in Finland, two years in Germany and travelled to many European countries during that time. Discovering new cultures and languages while travelling and taking care of the environment is not a passion but a way of life.
We're hard-working persons and it's a matter of concern to both of us to follow instructions and get the job properly done.
We both have some experience with pruning trees, planting seedlings and trees, using a log splitter, mowing, painting fences and weeding.
Elie is confident in using a chainsaw and an axe.
Héloïse knows how to drive a quad bike and a garden tractor.
And we would be very happy to learn some new skills!
We would be really grateful if you consider hosting us during our journey to give us a chance to contribute to local projects and get to know new people!

These guys were just great. Heloise and Elie had a list of things to do and just got on with it. The list went down by the day and nothing was a bother even the prickly tree and the bonfire. We spent 10 amazing days with Hannah, Josh and Clem. There are a wonderful family, very welcoming, great cook and always happy to give some advice about what to do in the surroundings. We hosted Heloise and Elie in late January, they have a quiet demeanor and were very respectful house guests, willing to lend a hand and took on any task with a great attention to detail. Our old deck chairs look great now.
