Hello,
I have been a member of scouting for over 13 years, which has been an immensely rewarding experience. In scouting, I've had the opportunity to develop valuable skills like leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving, all while immersing myself in nature and fostering a sense of community. It's a journey that has allowed me to explore my potential and make lifelong friendships. I have also volunteered in my community with Special Olympics, which has been truly inspiring. Witnessing the determination, courage, and joy of the athletes with disabilities has been an inspiration. Assisting them during events and regular meetings, providing support and encouragement, has been incredibly fulfilling. The Special Olympics has taught me the power of inclusivity, empathy, and celebrating the unique abilities of every individual. Both scouting and the Special Olympics have shaped me into a compassionate, resilient, and service-oriented person, and I am grateful for the incredible experiences they have provided me.

Since childhood Viking culture has sparked a profound connection to the great outdoors in me. In more recent years this has led to an appreciation for the natural wonders of present-day Norway. Exploring Viking Sagas and their deep relationship with nature has inspired me to immerse myself in the breathtaking landscapes that this country offers. From towering mountains and cascading waterfalls to serene fjords and vast forests, Norway's outdoors' have become my favourite place I’ve never been. I have come to admire Norwegians' deep respect for their environment and their commitment to preserving its beauty for future generations. Whether it's hiking through picturesque trails, camping under starlit skies, or simply basking in the tranquillity of untouched wilderness, my passion for Viking culture has intertwined with my love for the outdoors, drawing me closer to the awe-inspiring nature of present-day Norway.

I also enjoy art, immersing myself in painting, drawing, and making clothes. Through painting, I can capture the beauty around of the world around me, using colours and brushstrokes to capture the scenes and energy. Drawing allows me to bring my imagination to life. Additionally, sewing clothes has become a passion, where I can merge my artistic skills with fashion design, resulting in unique and personal garments. Whether I'm wielding a paintbrush, holding a pencil, or sewing fabrics together, these creative outlets bring me immense joy and fulfillment, allowing me to express myself.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Though I am young, I have had the privilege of working in various roles that have allowed me to develop a wide range of skills and gain valuable experience. Working with youth, in many places such as scouting and the high school cafeteria I currently work in, has been particularly rewarding, as it has allowed me to cultivate strong mentorship and leadership skills. I have learned the importance of patience, empathy, and effective communication while guiding and inspiring young individuals. Additionally, I have honed my culinary skills through cooking my time in restaurants, where I have gained expertise in preparing and presenting delicious meals. The other job I left to come on this journey was a small restaurant where I was the sue chef. This has taught me attention to detail, allowed me to be creative, and learn to work well under pressure. Moreover, my experience in customer service such as working as a waiter and being trained to answer emergency medical calls has provided me with exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills, ensuring that I deliver excellent service and address customer needs with professionalism and a positive attitude. These combined skills and experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded individual, ready to tackle new challenges and contribute to a variety of environments. I tend to pick up new skills well and I am always game to try new things!

Some of my other skills and interests include ASL and woodworking. I am proficient in American Sign Language (ASL), allowing me to effectively communicate with the Deaf community. I also consider myself to be handy, with basic gardening and woodworking skills, enabling me to nurture and beautify outdoor spaces. I also enjoy hiking, camping and caving with my friends and especially my older brother who has taught me much about caving.
